I’m an accredited BACP counsellor with a passion for supporting people to reach their potential and live their best lives.
I trained as a counsellor once my children had grown up and so bring a wealth of life experience to my counselling role. Before moving into private practice I worked for a charity, providing counselling to adults, children and young people from diverse backgrounds and with many different issues.
I work from a person-centred and integrative approach, which means that sessions are led by you, the client, and we work at a pace that suits you. I strive to create a strong, trusting and collaborative relationship with you, meeting you as a unique individual and drawing on a range of concepts, strategies or techniques to support you in reaching your goals.
As your counsellor my role is not to fix you, give you advice or provide you with solutions. Instead, I’ll listen with empathy and compassion as you share your experiences and I’ll support you in finding your own answers to the challenges you face. This in turn will help you to deal with life’s ups and downs with more confidence.
Adhering to the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists’ Ethical Framework ensures that I always hold the safety and best interests of my clients at the forefront of my work.
